Church volunteer scheduling
Church volunteer scheduling that fills itself in
Orcastrate is a scheduling app for churches. You set up your services and the roles they need once. From then on Finn, the scheduling assistant, asks the right people, reminds them, and finds someone else when somebody can't.
Why a spreadsheet or group chat rota keeps breaking
One person holds the file, so when they are away nothing moves. A call in the group chat gets three replies, and you message the rest one by one. And someone who can't make it often says so just before the service starts.
How Orcastrate fills the rota
- For each service you see which roles are still open: slides, sound, children, welcome, coffee.
- Finn asks whoever is free and can do the role, and reminds them when no answer comes.
- Volunteers say yes or no from the notification or the email, and mark when they are away.
- When someone drops out, Finn asks someone else straight away and the team leader hears about it.
- Anything you set yourself, Finn leaves alone. Teams can also ask people themselves.
For churches of every size
From a small congregation with one service a week to a church with several services and teams. Everyone sees their own schedule, who else is serving, the running order and their team's checklist.
Your church's data stays your church's
Stored in Europe, no ads, and we never sell data. We only keep track of how the site is used, to make it better. Anyone can delete their own account from inside the app.
Frequently asked questions
- Do volunteers need to install an app?
- Ideally yes: then they get a notification and answer with one tap. Anyone without the app gets the request by email and can say yes or no there too.
- Which languages does it support?
- Dutch and English, and everyone chooses their own.
- Does it work on iPhone, Android and the computer?
- Yes: there is an app for iPhone and Android, and everything also works in the browser.
- How do you get started?
- You set up your teams, roles and services, and invite people with a personal link. We are running a private pilot with a few churches; ask about it through the form.
